题干：求rug的面积

条件1：周长是44，无法确定具体的长和宽是多少，不充分

条件2：border的宽是1，但是rug的长宽未知，不充分

题干又没看好，是求the area of the portion of the rug that excludes the border，不是求the area of the border！

这题为什么不能是设长x 宽y xy - （x-2）（y-2）=2（x+y）-4 = 44-4 = 40 这不就解出来吗？

你看错题目了，题目求得是the area of the portion of the rug that excludes the border, 而不是the border.
