我觉得把B选项理解成类比会容易好理解一点。这个是解释型文章，结果：herb能在金属地上生存，原因：the herb产生了H这种物质，只要选项能够对原因造成影响，就是正确的。the herb来自于closely related plants，那就说明这些plants跟herb有极高的相似性，所以如果这些plants跟herb一样能产生H这种物质，就加强了结论（也即原因），这是用了举例：同因同果的论证方法。

所以这题是统计枚举啊! a certain herb is one of a group of closely related plants 结论是 the herb's (这个herb的)high histidine must be the key feature 要评价到底是不是key feature 所以问样本是否具有代表性 是否others of related group of plants 也有histidine

题干已经说了能在含金属的土壤里存活了，那个plants后面的定语从句修饰的是plants，而不是herb
