Many industrialized nations are trying to reduce atmospheric concentrations of carbon dioxide, a gas released by the burning of fossil fuels. One proposal is to replace conventional cement, which is made with calcium carbonate, by a new “eco-cement.” This new cement, made with magnesium carbonate, absorbs large amounts of carbon dioxide when exposed to the atmosphere. Therefore, using ecocement for new concrete building projects will significantly help reduce atmospheric concentrations of carbon dioxide.
Which of the following, if true, most strengthens the argument?
Ecocement---carbon dioxide in atmosphere
|
Absorb carbon dioxide

(题目已提及CO2-a gas released by the burning of fossil fuels)说明对比传统水泥,新水泥不止本身能吸收大量CO2,生产过程中使用的燃料产生的CO2也少。

P:eco-cement - absorbs large amounts of co2 C:eco-cement - reduce concentrations of carbon dioxide(增强这个可以reduce,就是增强eco-cement怎么通过absorb来reduce)

忽视了原文目的 to reduce atmospheric concentrations of carbon dioxide!
