像result in+n.+doing结构、because of+n.+doing结构等，这种结构下语义重心变成了n.，而不是一件事。比如说本题的ABC选项，wood变成了语义重心，但正确的语义并非result in wood（名词），而应该是导致了木头cost更大了这件事情（事情）。
2. 除了在原因或结果的内容里会考语义重心，还有比如confidence等抽象名词后面跟什么对象也考语义重心。如果语义理解上，是对某件事情有信心，那就应该用have confidence that+同位语从句，而不是have confidence in+n.，因为是对某件事情有信心，而不是对某个对象有信心。类似的，还有indicate、suggest等动词，后面也是跟宾语从句，一般不跟（介词）+名词，因为想表达的是一件事，而不是某个对象。

1、表原因或者结果，语义重心应该在一件事情上，而不是名词上，例如because/ and as a result...这种表原因或者结果的结构就是把语义重心放在一件事情上
2、而result in+n.+doing结构、because of+n.+doing结构，就是把语义重心放在名词上
3、对某件事情有信心，那就应该用have confidence that+同位语从句，语义重心在这件事上；have confidence in+n.，语义重心在名词上
4、indicate、suggest+宾语从句，表示“表明、建议某件事”，语义重心也在这件事上（突出内容）；indicate、suggest一般不加介词+名词，表达一个名词对象啥的，通常都是要引导出内容（表明的内容或者建议的内容）
①因为这个题的逻辑语义是 “导致一件事”，而ABC都是导致一个事物wood，不符合逻辑语义，错
②不要惯性思维，觉得it有问题，D选项的it是正确的，指的是wood（已经第二次犯这种错误了，如果句子中只有一个代词，或者几个隔得特别远的代词，看看它就近修饰的那个名词符不符合逻辑，如果符合的话就是对的，不要随便排除！）and as result+句子，表原因或结果，逻辑重心在事情上，而不像ABC那样逻辑重心在名词上，正确
③E选项 eight times as..as这样的结构才是正确的；eight times as much...than没有这样的搭配结构，错。

感觉gmat官方解释也太糊弄了, ving在句尾我认为可以修饰名词也可以修饰前面的句子, resulting本身不是错的而是result in woods 核心语义错误

还有一个B的点我觉得也不对: 因为是拿现在和过去cost这个动作比较,所以应该补出 did [时态和现在不同] 所以B相较于D不优

gmat有时候会用一些无法合理表达想要表达的逻辑的结构来考人，比如这里其实想用,doing做伴随状语来表示前面的发生的事情导致的结果。但是如果后面的结果无法用一个词或短语有效表达的话（比如disaster这样的）这个结构就不行了，因为不能加句子逻辑混乱。会让人理解为导致了一个中性名词，而不是这个词怎么样了。

ABC和D逻辑意思是有区别的，D是因为人们使用wood作为sole fuel，导致了后面两件事（并列）； 而ABC是因为人们使用wood作为sole fuel，导致了后面一件事，同时wood 价格更高作为状语修饰这件事，表义不如D.E完整 而E, as a result的位置不正确
