一个正方形 一条边+2 一条边-1 问原来正方形的面积 设原正方形边长x
（1）变化后长方形面积为70
（x+2)(x-1)=70 x=8/-9 即原边长为8 面积为64
（2）一边增长25%
2=0.25x x=8 原面积为64

dimensions指的是啥啊，如果是边的话，一条边变短，其余边变长，那不成了个梯形吗？怎么能用长方形的公式算呢。但是题目里的other dimension又是单数，也就是这个四边形只有两个dimension？

无语了，什么题啊。。。surface area又没说是top surface area，直接把桌子当成二维的了是吗。。。现实生活中也有大方块桌子好吧。。。

第一个一元二次方程可以不解喔，先判断两根，再根据口诀x1x2等于a分之c，是负的，所以只有一正根

哎又眼瞎，条件二： one of the dimensions 我以为是其中一条边的意思，就是有可能是长或宽了，但不是这样的，因为联系题干，只有一条边是increase了，另外一条是reduced的！所以increase的那部分是2 in，所以设本来这条边是x，那么25%x=2，所以你这条边就等于8，而且你原来是square就是正方形，所以你的原来的面积就是64了，充分。
