A surge in new home sales and a drop in weekly unemployment claims suggest that the economy might not be as weak as some analysts previously thought.
A surge and a drop,不能用单数,干掉B。
选A。
not so …as(否定句):not so much by X as by Y, not so much in…as in…, not so…as
As…as(肯定句: as much because…as because…,as…as,
(否定句):not be as weak as, never before had….as…as, as..as

为什么A对呀,否定句不是so weak as嘛。。?

a surge和a drop是主语,claim不是谓语!

A选项的some analysts previously thought.

并不是因为claims所以后面用suggest 而是因为主语是a surge and a drop
