Rivaling the pyramids of Egypt or even the ancient cities of the Maya as an achievement, the army of terra-cotta warriors created to protect Qin Shi Huang, China’s first emperor, in his afterlife is more than 2,000 years old and took 700,000 artisans more than 36 years to complete.
选A
故排除BCDE选项,A选项,正确:“Rivaling the pyramids of Egypt or even the ancient cities of the Maya as an achievement”的逻辑主语是“the army of terra-cotta warriors”,表意为“the army of terra-cotta warriors”和“the pyramids of Egypt”or“cities of the Maya”相媲美。

C 有误,it 纸袋的是 to creat 不定式,这个不能和 pyramid 和 maya 做平行。选 A

A the army of terra-cotta warriors Rivaling the pyramids of Egypt ...

EscapeFromFate

rivaling本应修饰的是the army of....这个noun phrase 但是实际上按照现在的语序修饰的是划线部分开头的it it是什么呢,作为形式主语,就是to create an army of....
