Developed by Pennsylvania's Palatine Germans about 1750, they made Conestoga wagons with high wheels capable of crossing rutted roads, muddy flats, and the nonroads of the prairie and they had a floor curved upward on either end so as to prevent cargo from shifting on steep grades.

developed放句首,和主句主语构成合理语义,主语需是Conestoga wagons;
A developed修饰不合理;
B 同A

E。it?前面全是复数名词; their指代floors?nonroads?wagons? so that表结果/表目的有歧义,表目的to do更合适
Jonas700
Conestoga wagons had high wheels and a floor,had high wheels和a floor是平行的,其余部分是分别修饰high wheels的和floor的,所以第二个and a floor并不是和前三个部分平行的,D选项结构最清晰;E选项and前没用逗号隔开不清晰,并且it不能指代floors,carving应用过去分词形式

wagon had 【high wheels】 capable of crossing rutted roads, muddy flats, and the nonroads of the prairie, and【 a floor】 that was curved upward at both ends to prevent

A had B xxx 1,2,and3,and C xx。

如果没有逗号的话,会有歧义认为the prairie and a floor并列

E so that it prevented,it指代不清,floors是复数

E so that it prevented,it指代不清,floors是复数
jassicacanidy
而是floors...so that it prevented...
选项B:同A

GRO
Johnny97
and a floor与之前的have并列,而非那些特殊的道路情况,需隔开 to do表设计目的,大于so that
