B or连接成分应该一直,“rated about 20/500”和“legally blind as an adult”逻辑含义上不对等,前者修饰“vision(视觉)”后者本意上不应修饰“vision(视觉)”而应修饰“a baby”,结构不平行

(A)As a baby emerges from the darkness of the womb with a rudimentary sense of vision, it would be rated about 20/500, or legally blind if it were an adult with such vision.
【错误】 代词指代:“it would be rated about 20/500”中的“it”本意上指代“a rudimentary sense of vision”和“it were an adult with such vision”中的“it”指代“a baby”,在GMAT考察的标准书面英语中,同类代词在句子中反复出现时利用指代同物(人),否则指代不明。
(B)A baby emerges from the darkness of the womb with a rudimentary sense of vision that would be rated about 20/500, or legally blind as an adult.
(C)As a baby emerges from the darkness of the womb, its rudimentary sense of vision would be rated about 20/500; qualifying it to be legally blind if an adult.
【错误】 平行结构:“;”两边应连接语法功能对等的结构,在本选向中“;”前边是主谓机构“its rudimentary sense of vision would be rated about 20/500”,而后方则是“qualifying it to be legally blind if an adult”,一个不是主谓结构的特殊结构。
(D)A baby emerges from the darkness of the womb with a rudimentary sense of vision that would be rated about 20/500; an adult with such vision would be deemed legally blind.
(E)As a baby emerges from the darkness of the womb, its rudimentary sense of vision, which would deemed legally blind for an adult, would be rated about 20/500.
本句中的第一个it应该指代sense of vision
A it指代不明
E 应该是would be deemed

B里面最后变成 vision be legally blind。
Junwei
irst of all, only people can be deemed as blind. A sense of vision can be rated, but it can not be deemed as blind. So rule out choices A,B,and E.In choice C, the words after the semicolon form a sentence fragment.

个人看法:A,两个it指代不同,第一个it指vision,第二个指baby; B,注意谁是legally blind,不可能是vision blind,肯定是人blind;而且我觉得这里‘comma modifier’有歧义,可能修饰的是baby emerges(or legally blind),也可能是vision that would be rated(or legally blind); C,分号后面不是句子; E,which不对,用which指的是vision be deemed blind,但本意是adult be deemed blind 关于题中的as,好像从语义上讲只有as表示duration(while)才对,但时态好像不太对,如果是表示while,就不应该前面是emerges后面是would be
Ahhhhhow

The pronoun thing isn’t an issue anymore, but the meaning is still warped: “… a rudimentary sense of vision that would be… legally blind as an adult.” The vision wouldn’t be legally blind; the baby would. (B) is out, too.

公用vision后面的would be不可以吗? vision that would be legally blind as an adult.

我觉得b错在 vision ....as an adult.

E which修饰的是redimentary sense of vision, 这个vision本身并非legally blind for an adult,而是rated about20/500,才是legally blind for an adult.
